Our History
Chartered on June 17th, 1997, Local 2807 was founded on the principles of worker recognition and building an atmosphere of team work within the company. Labor organizing has also provided the company with an opportunity to utilize an organized team of highly motivated and professional workers to provide the best quality product on time while maintaining cost efficiency that carries over to the Lear customer. As UAW Local 2807 ends it's first contract in 2002, we learn from the past and prepare for a more responsible role in both our workplace and in the communities in which we live.
April 2, 2007 - Wilbur L. Ross, Jr., Chairman of International Automotive Components Group North America, LLC (“IAC NA”), announced today the completion of the acquisition of Lear Corporation’s (“Lear”) North American Interior Systems Division.
